Project for awesome

The vlogbrothers, which is a channel on youtube run by a pair of brothers, Hank and John Green launched a project which is called, PROJECT FOR AWESOME. Basically, this project aims to promote charities and reduce world suck. To participate, youtubers make videos about their charity of choice and talk a little about it and why they have chosen it. It starts on 17th of December. America time I think? (Never could get timezones right)

Since I don't make videos, and my webcam has gone haywire. I have decided to blog about it. Since my blog has like a few readers (sigh). So anyways, the charity that I have decided to support is called FREERICE. FREERICE donates rice to people in need of it. I have chosen this charity because I think everyone can help contribute as long as they have the internet, and a little time. This is how FREERICE works, you go to the website and answer questions for a particular subject (english, maths, chemistry...) And every answer you get correct, the sponsors of FREERICE will donate 20 grains of rice to the United Nations World Food Program. You do not need to give any money.

There are about 48 grains in one gram of rice. We need 400 grams to feed a family two meals for a day. Thats 19200 grains of rice. I have already donated 800 grains. So, everyone go answer some questions! Get smarter! and feed people!
